Transform your next field trip. We combine high-energy basketball training with Ontario curriculum math topics in a unique 2-hour experience for Grades 5–10.

Program Outline

  • Step 1: Warm-up and Physical Activation.
  • Step 2: Station Skills Building: Students rotate through dribbling, shooting, passing and defense/offense stations.
  • Step 3: Math Component: Lesson introduction, data collection, and worksheet calculations.
  • Step 4: Final Competition and Interactive Games.

Our Approach & Details

  • Life Skills: We utilize a disciplined coaching model that emphasizes respect, focus, and leadership alongside the curriculum.
  • Requirements: Students must bring active wear, running shoes, and a water bottle.
  • Waiver: Parents complete a simple 5-minute online waiver before arrival.

Available Math Topics

Financial Literacy (Gr. 7-10) Simple or Compound Interest. Students work through either earning money or credit card spending with a basketball passing activity.
Data Management (Gr. 5-10) Converting shot data into fractions, percentages, frequency tables (Pie Charts) or calculating central tendencies.
Geometry (Gr. 6-9) Pythagorean Theorem applications on the court.
Analytic Geometry (Gr 7-10) Cartesian plane, slope calculations, and angle of release (Trigonometry).
Algebra (Gr. 5-10) Using BEDMAS to calculate player and team efficiency ratings.
